The
Voyage Home
With the mission successfully completed, the searchers began the
five-day journey to Barbados. As they packed up the equipment and
cleaned the lab spaces all were filled with a tremendous sense of
accomplishment. Paul was profoundly relieved, after all he had put
five years of historical research to the ultimate test and emerged
victorious. The I-52 was indeed where he said it was, in the middle
of the deep, cold Atlantic.
