David Jourdan is Named Entrepreneur of the Year

Hanover,
Maryland David Jourdan, president of Nauticos, has been named 1999
Ernst & Young Science and Technology Entrepreneur of the Year
for the Maryland region. Winners were selected based on innovation,
financial performance, and commitment to their business and community.
David will go on to represent the state of Maryland in a National
competition in Palm Springs, California in November. This has been
an award winning year at Nauticos, several months ago David was announced
as the Maryland Small Businessman of the year by the Small Business
Administration.
Nauticos is an ocean exploration company that provides specialized
underwater navigation and position refinement for mapping and searching
in the deep ocean.Notable projects include the location of the WWII
Japanese cargo submarine I-52. We also were responsible for the operations
management of last summer's live broadcast from Titanic for the Discovery
Channel, as well as the recent discovery of the Israeli DAKAR submarine.
